Jerome

On September 8, 1863, a man was found washed up on shore on the coast of the Bay of Fundy. Both his legs were amputated above the knees. He was taken in by the local Acadians, who nurtured him back to full health. He spend the remainder of his life in almost complete silence, and therefore, to this day, no one is sure how he ended up on the beach where they found him.

The Jerome movie is a recreation of the kitchen from the house where he lived. It gives us a glimpse into his simple life. One of his favourite spots in the house was the shortened stool in front of the stove.
