Maya Mentor is a tutorial based training program for the popular 3D modeling software package from Alias, Maya. Mentor assumes no previous experience with Maya and will guide the learner through the basics right up to advanced rendering techniques. The artificial intelligence in the program will successfully assist the user by catching their mistakes and instructing them how to achieve the tutorial goal.

Mentor uses a unique approach to e-learning in that it will actually take control of your computer and demonstrate how to perform specific tasks; this is opposed to the traditional form of computer based learning - videos. A voiceover will guide the user through each tutorial as Mentor will draw, texture, and animate models right before your eyes. After Mentor finishes revealing the tutorial process, it will then turn control over to the learner, who can then proceed with the guidance of the program.
