Vikings was created to supplement the research done at the University of Victoria for www.canadianmysteries.ca. With the assistance of Brigitta Wallace, a renowned Viking expert, we were able to recreate the viking village at L'anse aux Meadows, as it would have looked hundreds of years ago. The village consists of 8 buildings including 3 halls, 4 small buildings, and a furnace hut. Walking around the environment at your own pace, you will be able to look inside the main hall, as well as find 3 vikings interacting with their surroundings.

The mystery behind this project is whether or not the site found in Newfoundland is the fabled "Vinland". A secondary mystery is what happened to the Vikings who lived there, as they abandoned their village after only a few years.
